Hi there! I’m Nicole, and I am so excited that you’re here! I have wanted to start a blog for years, but as a very busy homeschooling mother of three, I never seemed to have the time. Now I’m at the point where my youngest is almost five, so making time to do the things I love, the things just for me, is much easier.
Before I had my children, I became a certified massage therapist, which I loved. I also loved traveling, and when I was 26 I embarked on a journey to the other side of the world – first Australia, then New Zealand. I had been in New Zealand for all of four days when I met my husband, who is from Auckland. As we were both in flying-by-the-seats-of-our-pants mode, we ended up living in London for six months as well, before deciding to settle down in New Zealand.
We have since had three children and I have been a stay-at-home/unschooling mom since my first child was born. After nearly 12 years in NZ, we are currently in the US, where my children are exploring their “other country” and are getting to know their American family better.
I was pretty natural-minded even before getting pregnant, so throughout my journey of pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood, I have become passionate about so many aspects of natural parenting. Homebirth, breastfeeding, car-seat safety, attachment parenting, unschooling, circumcision-risk awareness, vaccine-risk awareness, non-toxic living, the list goes on.
My hope for this blog is that it is a valuable resource for people wanting to learn more about the topics I post about, and that they are able to gain further insight into how to implement these things in their lives. I will also include other resources that I found helpful. I am excited to share our journey, and the things I have learned along the way, so thank you for stopping by! If you have any questions about me or my blog, please contact me at email@example.com.
Have a beautiful day!
